An avuncular test compares the DNA of an alleged aunt or uncle with a child to show whether they are biologically related. It is often used when the alleged father is not available to test. Including the child’s mother, when possible, makes the result stronger.
Each participant collects their own cheek swab with an easy mail-in kit. This is an informational test for personal knowledge. Because samples are not collected under witnessed, ID-verified conditions, results are not intended for court or immigration use.
