FAQ
Do I need insurance?
No. You pay one flat price online. We do not bill insurance, and you will not get a separate bill from the lab.
Who orders my tests?
An independent, licensed physician reviews and authorizes each order. A test can be declined or changed if it is not medically appropriate, and you would be refunded for anything we cannot process.
How do I get my requisition?
After we process your order, a requisition is emailed to you. Bring it, on your phone or printed, with a photo ID.
What is the blood draw fee?
It helps cover the lab's cost to collect your blood. It is $12, charged once per order, however many tests you add. It is included at no extra charge when your order includes a bundle. Urine and swab tests have no draw fee.
Do I need to fast?
Some tests need fasting. Each test page lists preparation, and you will see it again in your order details.
How fast are results?
Most results are ready in one to three business days after your sample reaches the lab. Some specialty tests take longer, which is noted on the test page.
Are my results private?
Results are never sent by email. You sign in to a private portal with a one-time code. Your information is encrypted, and we do not sell it.
What if my results are abnormal?
A test result is not a diagnosis. Share your report with your own doctor. If you have severe symptoms, seek care right away or call 911.
Can I use an HSA or FSA card?
Many plans allow lab tests. Rules vary by plan, so check with your plan administrator.
What if I need a refund or have a problem with my order?
Contact us at labservices@selectatest.com with your order number and we will look into it. If we cannot process a test, we refund it.
