This hair drug test checks for marijuana (THC), cocaine, amphetamines (including methamphetamine, MDMA, and MDA), opiates (codeine, morphine, and 6-AM), and PCP over roughly the past 90 days.
Hair testing is useful for understanding a longer-term pattern of use rather than a single recent event.
This is a personal, informational drug screen. It is not a chain-of-custody test and the result is not intended for use in employment, legal, or court proceedings. If you need a test for an employer or a legal matter, ask about chain-of-custody testing instead.
Before your visit: no special preparation is needed. A small, cosmetically unnoticeable lock of hair is cut close to the scalp at the lab. Hair testing shows a pattern of drug use over roughly the last 90 days, not the last few days, so it is not a good choice if you need to know about very recent use.
